The loon, also known as the Great Northern Diver, is a large aquatic bird with a distinctive black and white checkered back, a black head and neck, and a white underbelly.

The objective of the Minnesota Association of Deaf Citizens (MADC) is to preserve, protect, and promote the civil, human, and American Sign Language and other natural signed languages rights of Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals in the state of Minnesota.
